Welcome to C:BI! This guide will help you navigate your first steps in the modpack and give you a solid foundation to begin your adventure. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth start and build y

Step 1: Survive!
Your first night is crucial! The C:BI modpack offers a variety of challenges, and survival will depend on how well you prepare. Here's how to get started:
- Gather Resources: Start by chopping down trees, mining some basic ores (like coal and iron), and collecting food. The more resources you gather, the faster you can progress.
  Gather Resources faster with the mod. This is going to be very useful when terraforming, building or even searching for resources!
- Craft Basic Tools: Use your gathered resources to craft tools such as a wooden pickaxe, axe, and shovel. These will help you gather more advanced resources as you explore the world.
- Create Shelter: Find a safe place to build a shelter, especially before nightfall. The world is full of danger, and staying protected is key.
- Survive the Night: Make sure you have enough light sources (torches) to keep mobs at bay. It's important to have a furnace going to cook food and smelt ores, as well as a crafting table for more advanced recipes.
  You can craft a faster furnace with the mod.
Step 2: Build Your Base
Once you've survived your first night, it’s time to focus on building a solid base. This will be your home and resource hub throughout your adventure.
- Location Matters: Choose a location that provides access to key resources such as wood, stone, ores, and water. Consider proximity to different biomes for farming or resource farming purposes.
  We suggest installing near an ocean, in a plains biome or directly on a beach. This has nothing to do with the mods we'll see later on but it's better for logistics such as resource transportation.
- Expand Your Shelter: Turn your initial shelter into a proper base with storage chests, drawers, crafting tables, and a furnace room. Think about the layout for efficiency, especially if you plan to use Create mod machinery.
  Storing large quantities of items can be quite a challenge with the default Minecraft chests, but not with the and mods.
- Secure Your Base: Ensure your base is secure from hostile mobs, especially in the early stages. Lighting and simple defenses (like walls or fences) can go a long way.
  We recommend having at least one in your base so that mobs can't spawn in a 100x100 radius from the MegaTorch.
- Start Farming: Consider starting basic farms for food, as resources like wheat, carrots, and potatoes are essential to your survival.
  We recommend taking a look at and mods.

- Create: The Create mod introduces advanced machinery and automation. like mechanical drills and waterwheels. This mod is essential for building complex industrial systems, which will be vital as you progress.
- Waystones: With , you can fast travel between key locations. Make sure to set up Waystones at your base and any important locations, such as mining spots or community areas, to save time and effort in getting around.
